Who this notice covers
This notice is intended to cover hosts who create celebrations, invited guests, contributors who add messages or media, and people who contact Moments&Co.
Data the service is designed to process
The product model includes account and contact data, Celebration and future itinerary details, guest-list and RSVP data, accessibility or dietary information supplied for Celebration planning, invitations, guestbook entries, contribution records, photographs, video and audio where the selected plan permits them, and security and audit records.
Payment credentials are not intended to be stored by Moments&Co. Gift Pot and package payments are designed around regulated payment providers and provider references. Their own privacy notices will also apply once a provider arrangement has been approved.
Purposes and legal bases
Processing is expected to be limited to providing and securing the service, fulfilling the host's contract, responding to enquiries, meeting legal obligations and pursuing proportionate legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and service improvement. Consent will be used where it is the appropriate legal basis, including non-essential cookies and any optional use that requires it.
Guest data and host responsibility
Hosts decide who is invited and provide much of the guest information used for a Celebration. Product controls are designed to minimise disclosure between guests and to make Celebration access explicit. A shared unlisted link reduces discovery but is not equivalent to authentication; stronger access modes are part of the application architecture.
Storage, retention and deletion
Private uploads are designed for private object storage with short-lived authorised access. Storage allowances and included retention periods are separate entitlements: Essential and Signature include two years, and Keepsake includes five years. No lifetime-storage promise is made.
Rights and contact
UK data-protection rights can include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability, depending on the circumstances.
Partner Referral Programme
Moments&Co works with selected wedding and celebration businesses and other approved partners that may receive a commission when they introduce new customers to our platform. Your prices stay the same.
When you visit through an approved partner link, you may choose to allow referral recognition. Acceptance enables a first-party cookie and signed information in eligible public website links for one hour from your original arrival. Declining or ignoring the request enables neither method.
If email verification and initial account setup finish within that hour, the introduction may be linked to your account for qualifying future purchases. This account linkage replaces temporary browser tracking. The one-hour deadline is not a deletion period for account or financial records.
You can decline or withdraw without affecting ordinary use of Moments&Co. Completed account-level withdrawal stops future referral recognition and new commission attribution; historical commission, refund, dispute and payment evidence may be retained where legally justified. This system does not use fingerprinting, third-party advertising trackers, localStorage or sessionStorage.
Partners cannot access your personal account information, payment details or private Celebration content. For questions about your information or privacy rights, contact support@momentsandco.events.
Partner introduction preferences
You can stop both referral continuity methods here. If the introduction is linked to your account, sign in first to withdraw account-level consent. Using this control while signed out changes browser preferences only; it does not confirm account-level withdrawal. Existing financial records are not erased. For help, contact support@momentsandco.events.
Little Moments
Little Moments offers private activities for younger Guests, using the Host's published activities and Guest-visible Celebration heading. Guests do not need a child account.
First-party browser session storage remembers the selected difficulty, found items and earned stamps after gameplay begins. No child's name is stored in game progress. Progress is not sent to Hosts or stored in the Moments&Co database. Browser session restoration may retain it; clearing session storage removes the remembered progress. If storage is blocked, play remains available, but progress may be lost on reload.
Certificate names are optional. A name entered by a parent stays in temporary device memory and is not transmitted to us or the Host. Certificates are generated on the device; downloaded or printed certificates may contain the name entered and the Guest-visible Celebration heading. Please choose carefully where you save or share them.
Little Moments game progress
After a Guest chooses an adventure or interacts with the game, Little Moments uses first-party browser session storage to remember the selected difficulty, found items and earned stamps in that tab. Opening the welcome screen does not create a new empty progress record; existing progress can still be restored.
For Design the Wedding Cake, this also includes your chosen cake shape, icing, decorations and their positions, topper and stand. A small session preference remembers whether the first-play guide has been started or skipped. Cake designs stay in this browser session; they are not sent to the Host or stored in the Moments&Co database. Cake pictures are created and downloaded on your device.
No child's name is stored in game progress. Progress is not sent to Hosts or stored in the Moments&Co database, and is not used for advertising, referrals, profiling or analytics. Session storage has no fixed timed expiry, and browser session restoration may retain it. Clearing session storage removes the remembered progress. Blocking storage does not block play, but progress may be lost on reload.
Optional certificate names stay in temporary device memory and are not transmitted. Downloaded certificates may contain the name entered by the parent. This game storage is separate from optional referral recognition.
